These terms apply whenever you use studmatch.co.uk ("studmatch", "we", "us"), operated by Gavin Oxley-Bryan, trading as studmatch. By creating an account or browsing listings, you agree to them.

What studmatch is

studmatch is a directory that lets breeders list stud dogs and lets other breeders find and contact them. We provide the listing and messaging platform. We are not a party to any mating, booking, payment, or agreement made between a handler and an enquirer. Anything arranged between users, including price, terms, health guarantees, and payment, is between them alone.

Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You're responsible for anything that happens under your account.
  • You must be legally able to enter into the arrangements you use studmatch to make.

Listings

By publishing a stud dog listing or a breeding update, you confirm that:

  • The information and claims you provide (health tests, KC registration, breeding outcomes, etc.) are accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You own or have the right to use every photo you upload.
  • Your listing doesn't misrepresent the dog, its health, or its breeding history.

New listings, reviews, and reports may be checked before they appear publicly. We can remove, unpublish, or reject any listing, review, or account that breaches these terms, misleads users, or is reported and found to be inaccurate or abusive.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, offensive, or illegal content.
  • Use studmatch to advertise puppies, litters, or animals for sale (studmatch lists studs and their breeding outcomes, not animals for sale).
  • Harass, abuse, or attempt to defraud another user.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish listing data without permission.
  • Attempt to bypass our messaging system to avoid moderation or evade a block.

Reviews

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and can only be left by users with a prior conversation about that specific stud. Handlers can reply to reviews but can't remove or edit someone else's review.

Liability

studmatch is provided "as is". We don't guarantee the accuracy of any listing, review, or message, and we're not responsible for the outcome of any mating, booking, or agreement arranged between users, or for any loss arising from it. Always verify health testing, KC registration, and terms directly with the handler before proceeding. See our advice on the stud listing page under "Before you book".

Suspension and termination

We can suspend or delete an account that breaches these terms, at our discretion, with or without notice for serious breaches (fraud, abuse, repeated false listings). You can delete your own account at any time from your Profile page.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use studmatch after a change means you accept the updated terms.
