studmatch keeps cookies to the minimum needed to run the site. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies of any kind.
Strictly necessary (always on)
Set by our hosting/auth provider, Supabase, when you sign in. It keeps you signed in as you move between pages and expires automatically or when you sign out.
This cookie is strictly necessary. It's what lets a signed-in feature (messaging, your profile, posting a listing) work at all, so under UK PECR rules it doesn't require your consent to be set, the same way a shopping basket or security cookie wouldn't.
Analytics
studmatch doesn't currently set any analytics or tracking cookie. If that changes, this page will be updated first, and any new non-essential cookie will only ever be set after you tap Accept on the cookie banner.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for studmatch.co.uk, which brings the banner back on your next visit.
